Slush's best friend Marc could perhaps best be described as his character foil in many ways.  While Slush is naive and gullible, Marc is street-smart and calculating.  While Slush is optimistic and imaginative, Marc is pragmatic and rational.  Although, that being said, Marc has more than once advised Slush against an idea that eventually turned into miraculous success, much to his surprise.  This said, despite their differences, they are inseperable and always have each other's backs.

When not talking with Slush in his lawn chair or strolling into his house to ask "What'cha doin', Slush?", Marc can be seen hanging out with Carl, oftentimes discussing the economy or the political state of countries other than his own.  More often than any other character, he has been seen with a newspaper in his hands, keeping up with the times, offering his opinion, or enlightening the other characters about them.

He is cool and calm, often seen leaning against various walls in Antarctica in his earlier days.  Though he is less often seen in his reclined state in recent times, he remains the coolest penguin in Antarctica and Slush's undisputed best friend.
